The Richard Carne Trust aims to assist talented young people in the performing arts, with a particular emphasis on music and theatre.
Working mainly with the major music academies and drama schools, the Trust provides bursaries and scholarships to students selected by those institutions, both on the basis of talent and financial need.
We attempt to maintain close personal contact with our former students, in the belief that moral support is as important to them as financial assistance. The Trust has a strong interest in the career development of its students, and offers them limited financial support after their graduation, during their transition to the commercial world.
Since its inception, it has provided financial support to well over 100 individual musicians, chamber musicians and drama performers.
